Ricotta Pancakes and an Afternoon Tea Selection

A highlight of the afternoon menu is the afternoon tea set, which includes the hotel’s ricotta pancakes. The fluffy pancakes arrive alongside the pastry chef’s soft-set pudding, a wasanbon sugar cream puff and seasonal fruit sandwiches, arranged across the tiers. The tea stand is served for groups of 2 or more, while guests dining in a party of 1 can order the set on a plate. Free-flow tea is served with pot changes, with options including Darjeeling, Earl Grey and ginger-roasted brown rice tea. The à la carte menu also offers original blend coffee, cappuccino, homemade ice cream and cheesecake, among other treats.

At 17:00, the lounge shifts into evening mode, with dinner and snacks on offer. The varied selection spans Japanese, Western and Chinese dishes, including fresh octopus carpaccio, an assortment of smoked 3 varieties, prawns in chilli sauce and teppanyaki-style ankake yakisoba. For a leisurely drink, the wine free-flow plan includes sparkling, red and white wines, as well as highballs and lemon sours. Non-alcoholic sparkling rosé is also available, so guests who are avoiding alcohol can still enjoy a glass.

[Limited quantity each day] Afternoon Tea Set ~Enjoy an elegant afternoon with sweets made by our pastry chef~ Time: 14:00–18:00 [limited to 90 minutes]. Served on a 3-tier tea stand (for parties of 2 or more). The menu features seasonal ingredients and fruit. [Top tier] Pastry chef’s soft-set pudding and wasanbon sugar cream puff. [Middle tier] New Otani’s special ricotta pancakes with fruit. [Bottom tier] Seasonal fruit sandwiches (kiwi and banana). Drinks are served with pot changes. Enjoy a range of teas. Drinks (free-flow): [Tea selection] First-flush Darjeeling, Earl Grey, Muscat wine, chamomile, rosehip, wild strawberry herbal tea, iced tea. [Japanese Tea selection] Ginger-roasted brown rice tea, Japanese yuzu green tea. [Coffee selection] Blended coffee, iced coffee. Solo diners are welcome. (For solo diners, the set is served on a plate.) The menu may change depending on ingredient availability and other factors. Please understand in advance. Wine free-flow

Lemon sours, highballs and oolong tea are also included in the all-you-can-drink plan! Wines include sparkling, red and white. Non-alcoholic wine is also available, so guests who do not drink alcohol can enjoy the plan together. —MENU— ・Lemon sour ・Highball — WINE LIST — ・(Sparkling) Mureda White Selection Brut (Spain/dry) A refreshing sparkling wine made from 100% organically farmed grapes. Fresh and balanced, with aromas of apple and pear alongside honey and citrus. Certified organic by CAAE and vegan by EVU. ・(White) Bonfils Living Earth Chardonnay (France/dry) Living Earth was created with the hope that “organic farming—a return to nature—can be a step towards keeping our beautiful planet from further pollution.” It has a fragrant tropical-fruit aroma, rounded fruit flavours and gentle acidity. ・(Red) Château Lalande (France/medium-bodied) A red wine that expresses the characteristic qualities of Bordeaux. Fruit and acidity are well balanced, with fine tannins lingering elegantly on the finish. The wine appears in volume 24 of “The Drops of God.” ・(Rosé, non-alcoholic) Duc de Montagne Rosé (Belgium) A full-bodied wine-style drink made in much the same way as conventional sparkling wine. This sparkling rosé stands out for its red-fruit aromas and lively bubbles. A good choice when you would like to enjoy a sophisticated wine-style drink but cannot have alcohol, such as during pregnancy, before driving or at a lunch party.
